C & C Automotive, a family-owned and operated shop, first opened in 1977. Father and son, John and Aaron Clements, fulfilled a dream of working together to start their own car repair and service facility. Through the years, we have grown into six shops.
One of our locations is a 35-bay shop with 7 ASE-certified technicians, 5 ASE Master Certified technicians and 4 service advisors, located in downtown Augusta at the corner of 10th and Telfair Streets. The second location is an 11-bay facility with 2 service advisors and 4 certified technicians. It is located on Wrightsboro Rd., only 1 mile from Fort Golden Gate and 3 miles west of the Augusta Mall and our third, on 4014 Washington Rd., opened in 2018. Our fourth and fifth locations, in Aiken County, SC, and Columbia, SC, have opened more recently and are waiting to serve.
Aaron Clements has hosted the C & C Automotive Show on WGAC 580 Talk Radio from 8:05 AM to 10 AM on Saturdays for more than 19 years. In 2011, John Ryan Mooney joined Aaron as a co-host. It’s a great opportunity for listeners to call in with car repair and maintenance questions as well as win prizes.

Mary Steele is the founder of iTech® Platform and a driving force behind the Southern Automotive Service Association (SASA), where she works to raise professional standards, strengthen independent repair businesses, and bring clarity to an increasingly complex automotive industry.
With firsthand experience as a shop owner and industry operator, Mary is known for bridging the gap between real-world shop realities and the systems, governance, and infrastructure needed for long-term success. Her work focuses on building practical, standards-driven programs that help independent shops operate responsibly, manage risk, improve decision-making, and earn public trust—without adding unnecessary complexity or noise.
Through iTech®, Mary has developed a modular ecosystem covering payments, compliance awareness, workforce development, training, financial clarity, and advisory guidance—designed specifically for the automotive trades and aligned with association, workforce, and institutional partners. Her approach emphasizes verification over hype, education over opinion, and structure over shortcuts.
Mary is widely respected for her ability to speak plainly about difficult industry issues, advocate for independent businesses without antagonism, and design programs that are bank-safe, regulator-aware, and shop-practical. She believes the future of the automotive aftermarket depends not on louder voices, but on clearer standards, better data, and shop owners speaking for themselves.
